Moficept 500mg Tablet is unsafe to use during lactation. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby, or the mother is suffering from a condition in which breastfeeding is not advisable.

How to use Metronidazole Topical
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Moficept 500mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Moficept Tablet works
Moficept 500mg Tablet is an immunosuppressant. It reduces the action of body's own defense system (the immune system) and prevents rejection of the transplanted organ.
Common Skin redness, Dryness, Burn, Irritation, Stinging sensation.
Common Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Abdominal pain, Headache, Increased blood pressure, Decreased white blood cell count (neutrophils).

Do not engage in vaginal intercourse while on treatment with metronidazole intravaginal gel.
Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and wear protective clothing, sunglasses or apply sunscreen before stepping out in the sun as this drug may increase the sensitivity to sunlight.
Avoid direct contact of cream with your eyes. In case of direct contact, wash your eyes with water immediately and seek immediate medical attention.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
It should not take if patient is allergic to metronidazole or any of its ingredients.

Avoid contact with people who have cold, flu or other contagious illness. Notify your doctor if you have any signs of infection such as a fever or sore throat. Do not receive certain vaccine such as “live vaccines” while you are on Moficept. They may not work well and may not fully protect you. Protect yourself from direct sunlight by wearing protective clothing and applying a sunscreen with a high sun protection factor (SPF).
